I want you like X wants Y type sentences

Hello,

I am trying to impress a girl that is really smart at biology, and i was hoping that some of you could help me come up with some scientifically accurate statements of the form "I want you like X wants Y", where X and Y are two things that depend on or are attracted to each other.

A good (non scientific) example would be "I want you like a fat kid wants cake"

That's a pretty good one, but i was hoping for something more along the line of
"I want you like DNA wants protein" if that would be accurate

well then, what about
I want you like enzyme wants substrate
I want you like transcription factor wants DNA

or you can just transform it into
I want U like adenine does

This one can be read as offensive. It translates into "I want to change you into something you are not" (like enzyme changes substrate into a product), "and when you have changed, I will leave you" (again, like enzyme disengages from the product).

I guess that depends on who reads it. I see it as I have such high affinity for you as the enzyme has for its substrate. But you are different, you see it differently.

How about, I want you like oxygen wants electrons (in oxidative phosphorylation). Pretty rubbish, but that's all I could think of!

Or I want to couple with you like Pyruvate Kinase wants to couple with Adenosine Triphosphate hydrolysis.
