The genome of a germ cell of a monkey has undergone a mutation, which has resulted in a different allele of the same gene for its offspring. This causes variation within the species.

I found that in 5 seconds:
http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1 ... M/abstract

Keywords: "polymorphism ape" (search engine: DuckDuckGo)
I am sure that if you use Google scholar with similar keywords, maybe adding genetic or mutations, you will find a lot of literature on the subject. You can also try Pubmed.
As for what biohazard was saying, he was just restating the basic of the modern synthesis of the Theory of evolution.
