Wetlands porvide effective large scalle inucbation vessels where micorbes can degrade discharge materials as well as breeding areas for a wide variety of animals. They are also breeding areas for disease-transmitting pests such as mosquitos and this is the reason so many wetlands or swamps near cities were drained.
