menstruation and the lunar cycle with animals

Postby nagyv » Sun Oct 16, 2011 9:38 am

hi,

could someone tell me whether there is any evidence pointing to some relationship between the lunar cycle and menstruation in general? (Not just humans.)

AFAIK, human menstruation cycle has almost the same length as the lunar cycle, but would be interested in whether the moon affects other animals biological cycles in some similar ways.

any references or general results are welcome! :)

have a nice day, Viktor

I think the other mammals have menstrual cycle rather once in year. Think about belling of bucks or of bears giving birth once in a year etc.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
