Taxonomy differences

Taxonomy differences

I've started a study of Genus Equus. I'm finding differences between these three sources:

    Wikipedia
    Integrated Taxonomic Information System (ITIS)
    Mammal Species of the World (MSW)
For example, Wikipedia has Subgenera; the others do not.
MSW has Subspecies that ITIS does not.
Wikipedia has subspecies but they're different than MSW.

Disappointed with this confusion.
