Difference between cells

Hello there, I'm on my first year to become a vet and we last friday we got a homework where we have to answer the following question:
- What is the difference between a prokaryotic cell and a eukaryotic in terms of genetic expression?Do you have any suggestions? i'm pretty confused about the ''genetic expression'' part.

the "genetic expression" part means, that you won't list, that eukaryota have mitochondria, while prokaryota do not (hint, existence of other organelles has influence). So, you will focus on differences between the gene expression in prokaryota and eukaryota (what are the ribosomes like, how are genes organised, etc.) and I would bet, that it will lead to different classes of antibiotics

No, gene expression means that in prokaryotes, transcription is mostly regulated by the operon model, whereas in eukaryotes mostly by specific transcription factors. Also, prokaryotic mRNA is polycistronic (has multiple genes), and eukaryotic mRNA is not.

You said in both sentences the same thing. But the gene expression covers more than just operons.
