Energy, enzymes & metabolism Questions.I've been looking everywhere to answer these set of questions in clear detail, can anyone help?
What significance do the laws of thermodynamics have for biological systems? How does free energy relate to entropy and enthalpy? What is the relationship between exergonic and endergonic reactions? What is the relationship between ATP structure and its potential energy? How does an enzyme promote a chemical reaction? What is the active site of an enzyme? What is the difference between the mechanism of action of competitive and non-competitive enzyme inhibitors? What is the relationship between enzymes and coenzymes? How do allosteric enzymes control feedback regulation in metabolic pathways? What factors influence enzyme activity?
Re:
There was a set of 100 questions, these are the ones I couldn't find. Trust me I've tried to look for concise answers to these questions.
Really? You cannot find "How does free energy relate to entropy and enthalpy?", "How does an enzyme promote a chemical reaction?", "What is the active site of an enzyme?", "What is the difference between the mechanism of action of competitive and non-competitive enzyme inhibitors?", "How do allosteric enzymes control feedback regulation in metabolic pathways?" or "What factors influence enzyme activity?"?
If you just tried to google these terms, you would had at least some clue, ánd you could show us your attempt to solve these questions. http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
