Do you mean you don't know what a punnet square is? Do a google search...

joking

I was just joking, i meant he could perform a punnet square with eye color to find out his percentages of the baby. Of course he would have to know the colors of the parents and which is dominant. But really i was just messing around sorry.

Lol... i didn't know what you ment. Well, a punnet square would not work since there is no one gene that determines the trait, there are several, and not independant..

its hard to know the color ?? i took this info at school i think it will helps u alittle bit .
blue CANT BE HETEROZYGOUS (never ever) so blue + blue (only)=> blue.
u wil have brown brown+brown=> brown or brown + blue => brown .
coz u know that brown is dominant & blue is recessive.
thats it all for know . (( u have to see ur family tree ))
IF IM WRONG PLEASE CORRECT ME .

What about hazel? And green? And ,you know, some people have very dark brown eyes, some have lighter brown? What about that? ;) Yours is just a simple explanation. Eye colors have lots of tones. I don't think that anybody knows the EXACT inheritance for that. :) (at least I haven't heared of any)

about the light & dark brown case there is a gene who is responsible for that .... dark color dont have this gene , light color have this gene ...
what i said before is not the solution but its part of the solution .. but i dont know about the green color

hey hey hey!!!! you cannot kill them!!!!!!! I will kill you, if you do that!!!
By the way, you need to kill more that people with green eyes, as a lot of people have green eye gene in their phenotypes.

Why? Is it because it is morally wrong or because your boyfriend has green eyes? :P

genotypes...

Maja wrote:green has his own gene or it a derivation from blue

What do you understand by "own gene" and "derivation"? There is no gene that says "have this eye color". There are genes that say "more melanine" and "less melanine". If this is what you are asking, in the first gene that has 3 alleles blue and green are together(different phenotypes for the same gene). It is the following genes that determine wether your eyes are green or blue(dark green, light green), light brown, dark brown etc...
