The following is based on the fact that a certain plant has 24 chromosomes in its sporophyte generation. How many chromosomes are in the nucleus of the non-dividing root tip?
a) 48
b) 8
c) 12
d) 24
I really don't understand much about this question. There's nothing in my biology 12 book that I can find about this and I've tried looking it up on the interent, but with not much luck. Can anyone help me out on this question?
It'd be really appreciated.
