stem cell treatment for CRF and risks involved

Hi...I am a patient of chronic renal failure. I have had one transplant in the past which failed. Now i am looking at the option of stem cell treatment for my problem. Can anyone provide any information regarding its efficacy in treating renal failure? Also, what are the risks involved in stem cell treatment? Is it still in the research phase? How long before it is likely to become a part of regular treatment?
Anyone who has undergone stem cell treatment for any problem, pls share your experience
