Fungi Identification

Postby Nibinaear » Sun Sep 04, 2005 4:00 pm

I've picked these fungi but I can't find out what they are called. None of their colour has been lost so they are pretty accurate pictures. They were both found under pine trees in northern britain.

The first image is one fungus, the rest are for the larger second fungus. Bearing in mind I'm new to this stuff these could just be very common fungi. I had a look on the internet for some fungi identification stuff but it's very scarce indeed. Does anyone know of any good resources with pictures for identifying them?

Which one? I think you've got that wrong, the pictures I found for Boletus sp didn't look similar.

It's probably because it's yahoo geocities. Have you got peer guardian or some other ip blocker that could be blocking the website? It could also be a spyware blocker of some kind that likes to restrict certain websites.

My browser blocks the pics too. Unfortunately, it's a school browser.
Can you post pics on here?

geocities is a website host not an image host, it will not allow you to use bandwidth this way. Try using imageshack.us or attaching it here.

I don't think their going to check.

In any case I was hoping for someone to identify these fungi or discuss what they might be called.
