Skeletal remains id pleaseHi
I was around our local church spoil heap in Yorkshire doing some research for a wildlife film I am making based around the churchyard when I came across the remains shown in the images attached. I have informed the local vicar and they are now in his posession to be investigated and re buried. I found them within rubble and soil in a heap used to put grass cuttings etc behind the church. Out of pure interest, can any one here id these bones and possibly explain the rather large hole in what looks to me like the Scapula and the small hole in the jaw. As I say, this is for pure interest sake as I also know that the area was historically important from having been the Northern seat of King Athelstan and later the Wars of the Roses at a place called Towton. Not forgetting the earlier romans and later English Civil war. However this could just be a body buried within the last 150 years or so. Over to you guys
