What happens to free phosphates after DNA elongation in PCR?

When Taq Polymerase adds free nucleotides to the 3' OH end of template DNA, 2 of the 3 phosphates of the nucleotide are removed (creating the energy necessary to form the phosphodiester bond that attaches the remaining phosphate group to the growing chain). What happens to those 2 phosphates that are removed? How does this effect the other molecules in the PCR solution?

it's hydrolysed (at least in the cell) and is further metabolised (in the cell). In the PCR tube it may only inhibit the polymerase...
