can someone please tell me why variation is good in wild cats?

for the same reason as is it good for any other population. The diversity means bigger population plasticity, resistance to diseases etc.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

Domestic cat behavior is a variation of wild or feral cat behavior. This is especially true if you're domestic cat has been spayed or neutered.

One of the main driving motivations for a wild cat's[/url] behavior is its sexual instinct. With this large variable removed from your domestic cats behavioral equation the over all instinctual behavior is toned down which makes for a good open minded pet.
