SpongesWhy are sponges considered animals?
The colony-like properties have proven, through experimentation, that each individual sponge cell is able to function and survive independently. They are multicellular. The teacher said I need to look up a few basics concepts that apply as well.
Re: Spongesyou mean Porifera, right?
Probably because they have the same cell composition as other animals. http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
