Why do a 96-well plate?Creating a B-cell hybridoma
After fusing two types of cells, myeloma cell and b-cells, why do we need to plate them onto the 96-well plate instead of just plating them onto a normal flask? Note that the next protocol was to screen for the specificity of the antibodies obtained using ELISA
I thought it's so we can get one cell per well, so we can get MONOclonal antibodies - from like the one cell in the well - the produce one clone, as compared to the fact that if grown in a flask, this would not be the case
