glomerulusI am just wondering what is the difference between bowmans capsule, is it just the capsule that has these simple cells that are around the glomerulus (the cappilaries)...I am just a bit confused why there are so many similar names while we could say that glomerulus is just glomerulus and contains these capillaries...why the need for so many names and expressions?
I am just a bit confused here...can someone maybe help me?
Glomerulus is the capillary network that is formed by the afferent arteriole. Bowman's capsule is like a cup that holds this capillary network. Bowman's capsule filters the blood of the glomerulus. Here this pic might help you understand the difference between Glomerulus and Bowman's capsule:
