are NZ ducks imba?

Postby cirque » Fri Apr 29, 2011 5:07 am

Me and a friend were looking at the wiki article on ducks - more specifically their predators.

We noticed that all of the duck's major predators don't exist in New Zealand.

Of extra note was that New Zealand is the only place on earth that doesn't have Peregrine Falcons:

"The Peregrine's breeding range includes land regions from the Arctic tundra to the Tropics. It can be found nearly everywhere on Earth, except extreme polar regions, very high mountains, and most tropical rainforests; the only major ice-free landmass from which it is entirely absent is New Zealand" HELL YEAH

So my question is, is New Zealand the best place in the world for ducks to live and are New Zealand ducks the best ducks? Or maybe there are some evil duck killers we missed????
