Since each myofibrill is attached at either end of the muscle fiber, when sarcomere shortens, the muscle fiber shortens. (T, F)

isnt this false?

my book says:" Since each myofibrill is attached at either end of the muscle fiber, when MYOFIBRILL shortens, the muscle fiber shortens."

Myofibrils are just organelles within muscle cells that contain sarcomeres, which are the basic unit of muscle fibres. They span the entire length of muscle cells and are made of contractile actomyosin that allows them to contract. When a large number of sarcomeres are compelled to contract this causes the myofibrils to shorten and the muscle is flexed.
