Well, first you need to know the target, which you want to affect. Then there are several ways, how to get the drugs, which need to be consequently tested, approved and sold

but I'm not quite sure the process.my lecturer say must write the whole complete process. Like how u gonna find the potency efficacy. then lead findings those things.

How about a comparative approach. One way to get candidate compounds is high-throughput screening. A very different method is rational drug design. You can prod at those key phrases to get an outline of those two methods, then write a two-track essay comparing them. Your Prof might like to see that you understand there is not just one method for all drugs. While this sounds harder, you can probably give a bit less detail and still write a strong essay because you are considering two broad methods of drug discovery.

You can describe the isolation process and then testing it to cells or animal for pharmacology activity based on empiric evidence.
