ICZN Naming Rules HelpHi, I was wondering if you could help me with this problem?
http://img861.imageshack.us/i/iczn.png Here is what I have ruled out ( I have the first one): http://img232.imageshack.us/i/iczn1.png The example on the ICZN website states that: The lion was originally described by Linnaeus as Felis leo but over time knowledge of the cat family developed and the genus Felis was split up; the lion was placed the new genus Panthera and so the name is now Panthera leo (Linnaeus, 1758) I am assuming that the brackets mean a name change? I want to say Ornithorhynchus anatinus (Shaw) is the second answer but the date is not there. Any advice? Thanks!
