determining amount of amino acids in a protein

Postby drea86 » Thu Mar 10, 2011 7:13 pm

I am having trouble setting up the following problem:

A protein has a MW of 55,000. How many amino acids does the protein contain, assuming that the average MW of an amino acid is 120?

It is called a division.
It is the same as: a bottle of water weigh 10kg. The average weight of a liter of water is 1kg. How many liters in the bottle.

Science has proof without any certainty. Creationists have certainty without
any proof. (Ashley Montague)
