Reverse transcription (hexamers, decamers or oligo d(T))Hi
I am currently looking into reverse transcription techniques. I am using the MMLV reverse transcriptase kit but wanted to know which primer is best to use. I am unsure of the differences between random hexamers, decamers and oligo d(T) primers. I have isolated mRNA prior to the RT instead of total RNA and this is what i use in the reaction. The down stream reactions will be real-time PCR and end point PCR (for mRNA specific markers) and possibly fragment analysis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
