Studying Biochemistry - what should i focus on?

Postby dharavsolanki » Sat Feb 19, 2011 2:26 pm

Hi, I am a biotechnology student from India.

My course work includes process engineering, pure cellular and molecular biology, biomedical instrumentation, bio informatics and some other related topics in some detail.

I am revising my biochemistry now and don't really understand how much of it or what of it is important. Can you help me out with the major themes of biochemistry that I OUGHT to know? Would also help if someone could tell me what other themes/concepts in biochemistry are important/interesting.

anything related to MolBio, that is everything covering DNA, transcription and translation; probably some protein structures? For metabolic engineering also some enzyme kinetics and overall properties.

It's hard to guess as we don't know, what you need...

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
