Hi,

I'm having trouble finding information on a certain type of cell in the skin, the Merkel cell of epidermis.

What is the structure and function of the Merkel cell of epidermis?

How does the structure suit the function?

I know that it can lead to Merkel Cell Carcinoma, but how is the cell structured ex. size and shape, and how does it relate to the function of the cell?

Any sources would be appreciated.
