2D gel IEF equilibration buffer

Postby Hannah2008 » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:41 pm

Hi guys,
I left my isoelectric focusing (IEF) equilibration buffer out at RT over the weekend. Is it still ok to use?
Thanks,
Hannah

it should be fine.

You have there urea, rigth? That would crystalize in refrigerator anyway.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.

I'm not sure why, but these references say to not leave urea buffers at room temperature for extended periods of time.
