finding the field of view...

Postby slapmaxwell1 » Sat Feb 05, 2011 8:05 pm

ok im having problems setting up this problem..im not sure what numbers to plug in where..

A microscope with a 20x ocular and 20x low power objective has a field of view of 1196 micrometers. what is the field of view of the 45x objective?

ok so the total magnification is 400x? and i think the formula that i want to use is:

low magnification = high power field of view
-------------------- ---------------------------- ?
high magnification= low power field of view

any help would be greatly appreciated...
