Identification Help - Bone Found at BeachA friend found this odd bone structure on the beach (south-eastern Australian coast). It feels solid in the hand, too heavy for a bird bone. It measures about 10cm long. The bone doesn't look like any skull or vertebral bone I've seen, but does have a small central passage for something to pass through (the entrance of which is seen on the image with a half black, half blue background), as well as multiple tiny foraminae for nerves/vessels.
Does anyone recognise this bone?
Re: Identification Help - Bone Found at BeachLooks like everyone here is stumped! Is there an osteology specific forum anyone recommends?
