Beta oxidationHello,
Before the beta oxidation takes place, the fatty acid gets CoA in an ATP consumption process. In the beta oxidation process, after each part of the fatty acid is being braked- it gets CoA, but this does't consumpt ATP. How come? Thank you
because the connection of fatty acid and CoA consumes energy. And that energy comes either from ATP in the first cycle or from breakage of carbon-carbon bond in the fatty acid-CoA

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
