Banana treeHi, is anyone know what plant is the most similar to banana tree?
If given Arabidopsis, Physcomitrella, Oryza, Chlamydomonas, Ectocarpus and Ricinus, which one would you think is most similar to banana? From my study, I found that banana and grape have many similarities in term of genotype. However, they doesn't look so similar in term of phenotype.
I guess you mean the genus Musa or respective species. It's monocot, while Physcomitrella belongs to mosses and Chlamydomonas and Ectocarpus are algae. Arabidopsis and Ricinus are dicots, so the only monocot is Oryza.

Cis or trans? That's what matters.
