Potentiation

Hi All!

I need to describe the processes involved in the "potentiation of an action potential". While I have a fairly good understanding of the general processes involved in the firing of neurons, I'm confused as to what "potentiation" means in this context and how I should explain the processes in terms of this potentiation..
