Effects on the urinary system of drinking too much beerI'm doing this assignment for an online anatomy course, and I would like some help on the effects on the urinary system of drinking too much beer.
All I could get from the book is that: All I have is... Ability to not to breathe is limited by the build up of C02/H+ in the body when the PCO2/H+ concentrations increase to a certain level, the inspiratory is strongly stimulated, nerve impulses are sent along the phrenic and intercostal nerves to inspiratory muscles and breathing resumes. - It is impossible for small children to kill themselves by volunatrily holding their breath. If breath is held long enough to cause fainting, breathing resumes when consciousness is lost. - CO2 lipid soluble, easily diffuses into cells where in the presence of carbonic anhydrase it combines with water and H20 - Increase in C02 in the blood cause an increase in H+ inside the cells, and a decrease in C02 cause a decrease in H+.
I think what they were getting at here is the action of alcohol on hormones like ADH, otherwise known as vasopressin
