Kidney infection

Postby sam2400 » Sun Oct 10, 2010 10:32 am

Hi

Quick question regarding acute pyelonephritis. A urinary tract infection that is usually caused by E. Coli, it can progress up the UT to the kidneys, I am just wondering how much of the kidneys can it infect? Would it infect the renal cortex, and the start of the nephrons?
