Equivalent Circuit Models in Combination with Full Wave Simulations and System Identification Methods

Description:

A mobile phone is not only a device for making phone calls; it also offers a number of other functions such as a digital camera, MP3 player, Bluethooth, diversity and MIMO antennas. All these sub-systems compete about the already limited space inside the shell of the mobile. From an antenna engineer’s point of view, this is a problem: at one hand the antenna is affected by its nearby environment in the phone and, on the other hand, the antenna might interfere with other sub-systems in the phone, i.e. EMC problems.

In this project a general method for describing how the antenna is affected by nearby objects and how the antenna might interact with other objects is developed. The purpose is to use the method for guidance and optimization of the geometrical layout and for studying and improving the antenna robustness in a given environment.

The most important parameters to investigate are the antenna efficiency and impedance, and for EMC problems, the transfer function (S21). These parameters will during the project be estimated as function of geometry, materials etc. These parameters will be studied both with full wave solvers, measurements and circuit simulators.

[Experimental porphyria induced by chlorinated hydrocarbons.

Studies of porphyrinogen carboxy-lyase in the experimental model of human cutaneous delayed porphyria][Article in Spanish]
Rios de Molina MC, Billi SC, Wainstok de Calmanovici R, San Martin de Viale LC.

The present work tries to elucidate if the strong decrease of porphyrinogen carboxy-lyase (PCL) observed in the experimental porphyria caused by hexachlorobenzene (HCB) is due to the presence of an inhibitor or to a modification of the protein structure of the enzyme. For this purpose: a) cross-assays and heating ones were performed in order to look for the existence of a compound, that present in porphyric animals, would be responsible for the decrease of PCL activity found in them; b) the effect in vitro of HCB, HCB metabolites and other related compounds was studied to find the inhibitor of PCL activity and to look for a relation structure-inhibitory effect; c) hepatic PCL from porphyric and normal rats was purified, and enzyme properties were comparatively studied looking for structural differences between the enzymes obtained from both animal lots. The results indicate that: a) the heat deproteinized porphyric liver preparation produces an inhibition on the normal preparation, but it is smaller than the decrease produced in vivo by the HCB on this enzyme activity, thus other reasons may explain this behavior of PCL in intoxicated animals; b) the HCB had no effect on PCL activity, the phenolic compounds exhibited inhibitions of variable extent that were increased by the presence of electrophilic substituents on the benzenic ring. Pentachlorophenol, the main HCB metabolite, produced inhibition in the in vitro assays, but at doses that were not physiologically significant; thus, it seems not to be the inhibitor found in the heating assays; c) purification of 110 times for the hepatic PCL of both porphyric and normal rats was obtained. Incubation conditions, the effect of salts and chelating agents, the chromatographic behavior in DEAE-cellulose and Sephadex G-100 columns, were comparatively studied with both enzymatic preparations. The effect of sodium diethyldithiocarbamate, sodium pyrophosphate, dithiothreitol, temperature, pH and O2, as well as the chromatographic behavior, would suggest that structural differences in the PCL of porphyric animals may exist; the presence of a thermostable inhibitor could also contribute to the decrease of PCL activity due to HCB.

well, sorry if you think i have defaulted on my end of the bargain-what I said was "leave me alone and I will do the same"
But 5 new face lesion with 3 on the same day and two the following day does not sound like my idea of leaving me alone.

But I tell ya what....I will leave you alone b/c everyone knows you can't beat the government for they play too nasty. I'm not even going public. Keep your secret killing antics for yourself. Just cut out the planes and all will be good in the hood with me.

What>? don't trust me>? yeah, i know the feeling. But I won;t be able to come back and bother you or anyone else...for you see, I know now what I have to do and am going to make it come to fruition today. I'm disconnecting from the www. So there-carry on with your greed n seeds. Sad that I have to do this, real sad. But I'm a survivor-maybe I will get back to normal if I disconnect. Do something useful for a change like clean my home.

Well, that's a start anyway.

Goodbye Mates!

The vinegar only initiates a rapid exfoliation process at the deeper layers of the derma. It is your immune system that has to be enhanced before this process can be effective. The Rx, 5FU Flurouracil (not sure if I spelled that correctly) is a liquid that is frequently used to treat actinic keratosis. It reaches down to the lower layers of derma also and brings about a very rapid exfoliation process. However, when I used it once, my pollen allergies became worse, so I suspect that it has a degrading effect on the immune system, which would render it useless.

Are you getting enough direct sunlight London? We have an elderly lady friend who was experiencing a large number of lesions on her legs. She refused to stop smoking so we did our best with changing her diet and getting her out into the sun for at least an hour per day. She is back down to an occasional lesion that resembles a pimple now and then. Your water source is also vitally important. Stop eating ALL processed food. Go to the market, get fresh food, and cook it like our Grandmothers used to, and get moderate exercise. Make yourself stronger than the bug, and then start the exfoliation process. In about three weeks the brain fog starts to clear significantly.

I am doing two things at this time that may be of interest to the group.

1) Waiting on Randy to come back out and play. Come out, come out, where ever you are Randy.

2) Reading up on the integration of GM crops into our food supply. I am particularly interested in GM crops, and biopesticides that utilize bacillus thuringiensis for pest control. The FDA and USDA have rubber stamped agra industry studies which acknowledge that we are consuming large quantities of endotoxins, but claim that endotoxins have no detrimental effect upon humans. Oh really????

I wish you peace, and pray for you health dear London.

Here is a question that I would like to ask of those who are much more adept at understanding human biological terms than I.

The agra industry claims that the unusually high amount of endotoxins that we began to consume in the mid 90s as a result of the wide integration of genetically modified crops and biopesticides have no significant effect upon humans.

Why then would this patented process for the removal of excess endotoxins from the blood stream be necessary?

.........and yet another question that I am just not qualified to answer.

Considering that high endotoxin count may not necessarily have a detrimental effect upon the human organism, what affects are exhibited upon the host of symbiotic bacteria that we depend upon within our bodies?

.............and yet another Occams Razor based question from an admitted information industry dullard.

Does the bacillus thuringiensis bacterium have the ability to become established either in whole form, or by genetic alteration within the human organism? It seems to form crystals of proteinaceous insecticidal δ-endotoxins (Cry toxins) within its hosts. Some have suggested that our bodies are forming crystals. Any relation?

............and it seems that not only do we eat it, they spray it on us as well.

From http://www.answers.com/topic/bacillus-thuringiensis

"Bacillus thuringiensis var israelensis, a strain of B. thuringiensis is widely used as a larvicide against mosquito larvae, where it is also considered an environmentally friendly technique of mosquito control."

Hello, Frank,

I hope you'll pardon my interruption. I'm hard-pressed for time, but I thought this could be of interest.

"Scientists have been studying pollutants in air, water and on land for decades. Now they're studying pollution in people, and the findings are troubling. This Web site reports results from the most comprehensive study ever conducted of multiple chemical contaminants in humans. Blood and urine from nine people were tested for 210 chemicals that occur in consumer products and industrial pollution."

"In a study led by Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, in collaboration with the Environmental Working Group and Commonweal, researchers at two major laboratories found an average of 91 industrial compounds, pollutants, and other chemicals in the blood and urine of nine volunteers, with a total of 167 chemicals found in the group. Like most of us, the people tested do not work with chemicals on the job and do not live near an industrial facility.

"Scientists refer to this contamination as a person’s body burden. Of the 167 chemicals found, 76 cause cancer in humans or animals, 94 are toxic to the brain and nervous system, and 79 cause birth defects or abnormal development. The dangers of exposure to these chemicals in combination has never been studied."

"The CDC has studied individual chemicals in a multitude of people; our study examined individual people for a multitude of chemicals.

The CDC's work helps us assess exposure levels for each contaminant across the population; our study begins to document the complex reality of the human body burden -- what we call the 'pollution in people.'

Both studies are long overdue. And both reveal disturbing gaps in scientific understandng of environmental contaminants and in our system of regulatory safeguards."

-- Jane Houlihan, Environmental Working Group

(The Web site gives a comparative glance into both studies.)

"What environmental contaminants are inside you or around you every day?

Scientists refer to the suite of environmental contaminants in people as their "body burden". It is the consequence of lifelong exposure to industrial chemicals that are used in thousands of consumer and industrial products process, and which linger as contaminants in air, water, food, and soil. Hundreds of chemicals contaminate drinking water, household air, dust, treated tap water and food. They come from pollution, and from household products like detergent, insulation, fabric treatments, cosmetics, paints, upholstery, computers and TVs, and they accumulate in fat, blood and organs, or are passed through the body in breast milk, urine, amniotic fluid, feces, sweat, semen, hair and nails

While the only true way to know what chemicals are contained in your body is to get a comprehensive test, the following broad lifestyle questions provide a 'virtual' body burden profile."

Take this test:

Here is the main page for any interested parties to launch an exploration from:

Everyone have an enjoyable and safe Happy New Year!
