Also, we need to communicate the fact that we need more researchers working with Dr. Wymore across the country. Dr. Matthews, Dr. Butler etc.

If we can get a group of doctors/scientists working with DR. Wymore, then we will get somewhere

been working on it

Ok sky, guess I need to be enlightened :?:
, just want to draw the line between unrealistic paranoia,
and sensible caution. :?

Alot going one here...:)

I agree with Linn about the Blog.

We don't yet know if John that posts here created that Blog.
Let's wait and see what he says, if he comes back.

For now, if you go to the Blog, there's a button top right
that says 'FLAG'. If you disagree with the content - some of
it was ripped off from other sites, no doubt about that - then
Flag the site. You'll be presented with another page. Go back
and click Flag again to confirm. If you wish to report the author
for misrepresenting facts or misuse of copyrighted materials
then go here: http://www.blogger.com/problem.g
Join Blogspot and then you can email their suport team to
express concerns about the Blog.

Then, let's ignore the author of this Blog. He has another agenda.
There will always be people like him/her.

So, this is how one gets nobel prizes for science.

I think this might be illegal.

Skytroll

Sky, are you suggesting Linux may be illegal?

Linux is a beautiful operating system and was created by
free-thinking individuals that wanted to provide something
free to the world and another alternative to lining
Microsoft's pockets when buying 'Windows'.

The term 'Hackers' is used generally by the press and is
a highly stereotypical grouping used to describe anyone
that spends more than an hour a day on a PC it seems.

It's just a convenient grouping that's used a little too often.
In this context, the 'hackers' are GOOD people who give up
alot of their time to work free of charge producing updates
to something that is provided free to the public.

That is not a good thing. It's a GREAT thing.

To all...

This place is beginning to sound like Salem again (the Crucible)..:(

John's initial comments here certainly had me angry I must say.
But he got involved and has been helpful and co-operative since.

If he IS the author of the Blog then I'll be disappointed to say
the least but no one said the road would be easy.

Postby John Kern » Tue Apr 18, 2006 4:30 pm

Good Morning Everyone,

Firstly, and by far the most importantly, the links that London posted to a "John Kern" are not me. That's simply one of the first names that pop up if you google "John Kern". London, you seem to be implying threats of violence against a random person who has never even heard of you, or Morgellons. This is wrong on every level - legally, morally, and factually, and I urge you to edit that post to remove Mr Kern's personal details.

Secondly, that blog is not me. That person is obviously scornful of the Morgellons community. I came here initially out of curiosity, but became more fascinated as I got to know a few of the people here. I know that people here have genuine medical conditions, and I have great sympathy for their suffering. I was interested in helping put things on a more sound scientific basis, and I also enjoy helping people with explanations of some of the more esoteric science.

Since I have your attention, I urge you again to study the early history of Lyme disease - particularly the rigour of the statistics. Move beyond the anecdotal. Learn what a P-value is, it's not too complex. Learn how to put your position on a solid base - learn how to be taken seriously.

Good luck,

John.

Sytroll

The term hackers is being used loosely and incorrectly in this context.
I say that because when the term Hackers is used it conjures up
images of underground criminal fraternities that are working to
take over computers all over the worl and steal credit card
details etc etc. THIS IS TRUE. Hackers do that all the time.

Hackers in THIS context are just extremely talented people who
are putting their skills to GOOD use.
Linus Torvalds created Linux as a FREE operating system which
can be changed and/or added to by anyone that wants to.
By the COMMUNITY.

It is wrong to cal them Hackers but unfortunately the label
has stuck and the media just uses the term in what is now
a nonsensical manner.

Hackers is now used to describe almost anyone working on computers.
That would include us....

Linux is not illegal. Nobody is stealing since it is FREELY available and
people are ENCOURAGED to make additions that benefit the
end users.

Who is getting hurt here? NO ONE.

I could go on but I hope that sense will prevail here Skytroll.

Hi John,

Please do not go away. The people here really need you. This condition is horrible, and, sometimes, when the physical pain of it is coupled with whatever chemicals are released into the bloodstream by the 'stinging', probably from the insect parts involved, the person can experience what I would term acute paranoia.

I hasten to say that this is, under the circumstances, a normal response of a person whose very being is under physical attack.

Whose thinking would not get a bit distorted now and then if the homeostasis of their body was being 'tweaked' in this way, often when they were least expecting it?

I beg you to stay, as these good people need all of the scientific, rational and logical help that they can get.

If you are good enough to do so, I hope that they, in turn, can get a grip of what is important. I do understand how hellish they must feel, and also how, in such panic driven periods of suffering, they might really believe that a friend is actually an enemy.

However, if the insulting and the rest does not stop, they will just have to take the consequences. Writing an e-book will not save them from these, and neither will the (repeated) non-answering of specific questions.

If I speak 'off the record' to, shall we say, a member of the cogniscenti, and if he or she is possibly constructing a hypothesis, I may subsequently ask a few specific questions. If these are, and I say again, repeatedly not answered, where does that leave anyone?

Furthermore, while I believe that Tamtam does not say a thing unless it is of the utmost importance, I do not know why I am expected to know what he meant by a recent post.

The cogniscenti et al. expect too much of me, a mere girl!

All right, all right!

This post!

'LACKLAND AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- Tech. Sgt. Marcos Farias attaches a Low-Altitude Navigation and Targeting Infrared for Night targeting pod to a 149th Fighter Wing F-16 Fighting Falcon here. The 149th FW will be the first unit in the Air Force to graduate pilots from the F-16 basic course with targeting-pod training. (U.S. Air Force photo by Senior Master Sgt. Mike Arellano)'

Something about a mechanically designed targeting pod?

The only pods I know about are those which contain seeds.

For what it is worth, I really do not think that, despite the example of aeroplanes, that this reference by Tam tam has anything to do with 'chemtrails' dispensed at night by the powers that be. Nor do I believe in electric monitoring by such powers, or in the influence of aliens, as a cause of this disease.

I personally believe Tam tam's theory, and I think that he is, yet again, trying to tell us something by his highlighting of the targeting pods.

Hope no misunderstands
OK:
At an airport one night
With several long hours
Before her flight.
She hunted for a book
In an airport shop,
Bought a bag of cookies
And found a place to drop.

She was engrossed in her book
But happened to see,
That the man sitting beside her,
As bold as could be,
Grabbed a cookie or two
From the bag in between,
Which she tried to ignore
To avoid a scene.

So she munched the cookies
And watched the clock,
As the gutsy cookie thief
Diminished her stock.
She was getting more irritated
As the minutes ticked by,
Thinking, "If I wasn't so nice,
I would blacken his eye."

With each cookie she took,
He took one too,
When only one was left,
She wondered what he would do.
With a smile on his face,
And a nervous laugh,
He took the last cookie
And broke it in half.

He offered her half,
As he ate the other,
She snatched it from him
And thought....ooh, brother!
This guy had some nerve
And he's also rude,
Why he didn't even show
Any gratitude!

She had never known
When she been so galled,
And sighed with relief
When her flight was called.

She gathered her belongings
And headed to the gate,
Refusing to look back
At the thieving ingrate.

She boarded the plane,
And sank in her seat,
Then she sought her book,
Which was almost complete.

As she reached in her bagg age,
She gasped with surprise,
There was her bag of cookies,
In front of her eyes.

If mine are here,
She moaned in despair,
The others were his,
And he tried to share.

Too late to apologize,
She realized with grief,
That she was the rude one,
The ingrate, the thief!

How many times have we absolutely known
that something was a certain way,
only to discover later that what we
believed to be true....was not?

"Always Keep An Open Mind And An Open Heart,"
Because.........You Just Never Know
"You might be eating someone else's cookies"

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.
Be the living expression of God's kindness:
kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes,
kindness in your smile."

My gut feeling is that I believe you. You have you respect for the input that you have provided in terms of the rigour that is required to communicate to those people that we would like to pay attention to our illness.

I do not condone London's tirade.

Best wishes,

Helen
