I am only sorry that I could not be more helpful. Unfortunately there are many infections and diseases that we know precious little about.

The good thing is that emerging technologies provide exploratory avenues that are cost-effective, so that it will be feasible to get a scientific
handle on at least some poorly understood syndromes within the next ~5 years.

As a scientific person, I am sure you appreciate that a little scientific insight can point quite directly toward therapeutics.

I am not certain if you have a this specific type of background, but the general area of "meta-genomics" is the technology that I am enthusiastic about and I am just cheering from the sidelines.

But the key idea of general utility is that one studies non-cultivatable organisms through their genetic fingerprints. This is very neat, and will solve all sorts of things in our lifetimes in my view.

I read the first few statements that you provided from the website and they sound like the ravings of a lunatic. A few explanations follow:

These are a bunch of interesting terms thrown together into a meaningless morass. Stem cells are from multicellular creatures, like us.

Microorganisms are typically unicellular. There is no such thing as a stem cell related microorganism.

And probably all microorganisms are capable of quorum sensing. So the statement is really gibberish.

This sort of metamorphosis is unprecedented. And molds come from a different kingdom from cyanobacteria.

I have never heard of these sorts of interactions. But the key red flag for me (up and down the page) is that there is no citation for experimental evidence in a peer-reviewed publication. Now as everyone knows even peer-reviewed stuff can be wrong or fabricated - like the stem cell fabrication out of Korea last year.

But without peer-reviewed experimental evidence, there is no reason to believe any statement.

So be careful with that web site.

Hi South,

I do understand there is no cure and there's a long road ahead.
I've been trying to talk to Microbiologists in the country in an attempt
to raise some awareness and maybe open a few doors. I don't want
to bombard as many people as I can at this stage since new information
is still being posted by TamTam - and perhaps one chance is all I'll
get to make my point. First impressions count.

I'm frustrated at the response I've had from some people I've spoken
with (Microbiologists) and I guess I was taking some of that out on TamTam, in the belief that he had more information that could help with the bigger picture.

Just had a bad day I guess
