Interesting discussion. One of the possible indicators of an organophosphate exposure involves DNA examination. Such exposure leaves a "footprint" on DNA. If such DNA is in germinative cells or tissue then the daughter cells may have and express the results of such mutations. In non germ cells it may influence anabolism and catabolism. The expressed effects are dependent upon the type of cells involved.

However, if such "footprints" are left on DNA in the gonadal germ cells, primary spermatocytes and oocytes or their precurssors then these mutations may be passed on to the following generations.

Here is a small portion of a somewhat realtive study.

DNA Repair Mechanisms 
 
DNA is a key target for a variety of environmental and endogenous toxicants.  The contribution of such damage to cancers and the aging process is well documented.  Three members of the faculty represent the DNA damage /repair arena of toxicology: C. Pickart, BMB, K. Singh, Oncology and L Grossman (BMB). Dr. Grossman has recently retired, although continues to be active on campus and provides invaluable intellectual input to the community. Over the past year, he has published findings connecting DNA damage repair defects and skin cancer in Puerto Rican populations. 
Dr. Keshav Singh from Oncology focuses on DNA damage and repair pathways in both yeast and humans. As a novel niche, Dr. Singh has been focusing on damage to mitochondrial DNA and its relationship to cancers and has recently published several new findings on DNA damage specific to this organelle.
Dr. Cecile Pickart is an outstanding protein biochemist in the field of protein ubiquitination. Dr. Pickart recently joined the field of DNA repair when she discovered a novel role for ubiquitin chain assembly in signaling DNA repair. Working in both yeast and humans, she has been focusing on radiation induced DNA damage and ubiquitin.

Sabrina, I haven't experienced being hacked or threatened. I have fixed people's computers for them when they have been infected and when they haven't been infected. That is where I have been tonight and last night. Ukguy will know much better than I do but if you connect to a network, internet included, then there is constant communication between each computer connected to that network and there will be the odd one that will be trying each ip address for a vulnerability. When it finds a weak point it is goes in and infects the machine. You must keep your virus protection up to date, don't open unsolicited attachments, etc, don't surf in dodgy areas, etc.

Thanks Patrick for clearing up my misunderstandings of the messenger RNA, DNA, Ribosome and genen line.

I do feel we must start here.

Forget the computer hacking or looking to blame or legal endeavors or chasing advanced theories we , I, can not even grasp.

If we can not get this simple stuff down first we have no right venturing into any other theories which we can not possibly understand.

We have a human body. It is screwing up. We've got figure out how, why and then go from there.

If we can not figure this out..why would anyone want to hurt us? We are harmless to anyone without the power of knowledge.

That is all I have been saying.

If Tam was real he would explain it from this point onward. Not have a video no one can comprehend at our level, and that those at a higher level say is bogus. That is all I am saying. I will not follow anyone over a cliff while moooing.

We need to understand the basics before we get into butterflies and mutations. Do you not agree?

Dear Sabrina,

I am so glad that you posted about your computer being hacked...not that I am glad it was hacked....but it helped me figure out what had happened to my computer (laptop) and my husband's (desktop.) Our computers work completely independent of each other, we only share the DSL connection to the internet, and we both have firewalls.

This is just so weird, Sabrina....now I can see how these viruses spread so quickly.

My problems began when I opened your link to Travis' Obituary......after that I could not log on here at BOL at all. I was not able to post or check my messages. I contacted the admin. at BOL two times through their external link, and told them about my problem, I even changed my password but it didn't fix the problem.

In the meantime, my husband began havng problems with certain sites being unavailable. Then this last weekend, neither one of us could get on the internet. We ran all of our security scans, but that didn't fix the problem either. My husband called our DSL provider and they tried to help but after about an hour they were stumped as to why he could not connect to the internet, when all of the connections and devices were working properly.

Yesterday I thought I would try to do a "system retore" and see if it would help...I tried it five times and it would not restore to an earlier time.
Then I decided to check out the internet properties.....and there was no IP address, it had been deleted somehow. So I thought I would try to set up a new network connection, and it worked....I'm so glad that it was something simple to fix, although not simple to find. I had to set up a new network connection on my computer also and it is working now. I'm glad that the mystery is solved!

Whatever. You have two alternatives:
1. Get your pc protected, ie firewall, virus guard, etc. Clean the bug off and enjoy the rest of the day.
2. Beat your self and those around you up because you believe that someone is maliciously targetting you, and don't enjoy the rest of the day.

My advice is: Patch the vulnerabilities, update your virus guard, put a firewall up and have a nice day.

I did manage to find reference to a virus that attempts to connect
to an ip address in India but this seems to be coming from outside
so who knows...

This particular virus was bundled with a Dale Carnegie E-book, but I
think we can quite emphatically discount that one
