Field Trip HelpMy Biology Class had a field trip the other week. We had to observe different plant species in quadrat sections and transect lines which we set up. We took photos of the different plant species and were later asked in class to identify each plant species however no one in our class has a clue on how to do this. Attached are the photos of each plant. Any help on identifying them will be greatly appreciated. I'm an Australian student and our field trip was at a creek flowing through Melbourne, Victoria. If you need pictures of leaves/flowers to specific plants, inquire to which plant you need the photo and I can go back and take photos.

Re: Field Trip HelpThese next lot of photos are of different grass species that we have to identify.
2) yeah, seem like something from Fabaceae
5) are you sure it's 2.5 meters? =-O 6) it's moss 7) yes, clover 9) definitely some Poaceae (grass), but hard to say which one from such picture of leaves only All those pictures would need to be more detailed to be species-determined http://www.biolib.cz/en/main/
Cis or trans? That's what matters.
Re:
Five is about 25cm tall. Sorry about the typo. What kind of pictures would you need specifically to find which kind of species each plant is. I know it's kind of absurd that our teacher expects us to find out exactly what species each plant from photos without her helping us out, but if there are any hints to how I could go about narrowing it down to a few species, or what kind of photos you'll need to find it out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for what you've got so far JackBean.
Well, you know, I basically know the common plants one could find in Czech Republic, as I'm native here, but I don't know the plants of Australia (well, not like to species, what you need), so you need to find some clever book, not sure, how is it called in English, but by which you can determine the plants.
