ArchaeopteryxDoes anyone know of a book that has good charts and illustrations showing the stages of evolution from dinosaurs to archaeopteryx(to birds).
I already have a book called the origin and evolution of birds by Alan Feduccia-- but it doesnt have enough evolution charts in it. Also, were terradactyls related to archaeopteryx? They must not have been related. The book I have shows a chart that starts with a dromaeosaur (hand raptors?) then archeaoptreryx then to a bird. What came before the dromaeosaur? The reason I want a chart is because I want to illustrate the evolution of birds from dinosaurs and would like at least 12 steps.
12 steps? There might not be that many fossils in between, and we don't even know if birds are direct descendants.
