Why does consentration difference affect rate of diffusion? For my assignment it askes to discuss two factors that affect the rate of diffusion.
First is temperature and I understand that. Second is concentration difference. Have looked at many text books and spent many hrs looking online. Everything tells me that concentration difference affects the rate of diffusion, and that the greater the difference in concentration the faster the rate of diffusion. But no where does it explain why or how.
Re: Why does consentration difference affect rate of diffusion?why did you say that you spent hours, didnt you google topic
The equation you are looking for is Fick's equation So ignore the differentials, the dc is the difference of concentration, the dx is the memberane thickness. The math is so simple that it explains itself.
