DNA and nucleotides

Hi,

I think I know the answer but I can't find a definitive answer: during DNA replication, can nucleosides with monophosphates or diphosphates be used or only those with triphosphates?

Thanks for the reply, Jack. Does the use of strictly dNTPs address energy issues during polymerization? Do diphosphates not provide enough energy for the reaction?
