i need some quality advice..

So I'm starting school in about 2 weeks, and I know I want to venture into biology. My only dilemma is what branch of biology I wanna get into. I think marine biology is great, but I live in Philadelphia PA.. Not to much marine life goin on. Botany is another one which I find interesting. If there is anyone out there willing to give me some advice from their own experience I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

What does "starting school" mean?

Perhaps a well rounded general 'biology' course would be a start for you. My general biology course covered the basics: zoology, botany, microbiology (bacteria mostly), and some genetics. This way, you can see what peaks your interest and then pursue a more indepth course next time.

well, our general biology course was more less about plants, as the teacher was from Department of Botany

thanks. By starting school i mean going to college. Im a 34 year old tattoo artist whos lookin to make a change, and science is the only topic besides art that has ever interested me. So I'm startin summer 2 on monday, just startin with an english class to get back in the swing of things, then general biology in the fall.
Botany is the direction I'm kinda leaning towards, so we'll see. Thanks for the advice.
