Something in photolysis doesn't make sense to me

If photolysis occurs in the thylakoid, why do hydrogen ions need the electron transport chain energy to have them transport into the thylakoid space? From what I understand, they're FORMED in the thylakoid!

what do you mean by formed?

They are pumped by the electron transport chain proteins into the thylakoids.

Yea, by where do they come from? --if the photolysis itself occurs in the thylakoids..

there are always some protons from the autolysis of water or from the organic acids. However, the protons are circulating through e- transport chain proteins into thylakoids and through ATPase out again ;)
