Something in photolysis doesn't make sense to meIf photolysis occurs in the thylakoid, why do hydrogen ions need the electron transport chain energy to have them transport into the thylakoid space? From what I understand, they're FORMED in the thylakoid!
there are always some protons from the autolysis of water or from the organic acids. However, the protons are circulating through e- transport chain proteins into thylakoids and through ATPase out again
