Physio question contractions and summation?

So in our experiment we applied an electrical stimulus to simultaneously (ie synchronously) activate all motor-neurons to muscle. IS this synchronous way how motor-neurons to a muscle would be activated in the body? wHy?

I know it doesn't but i'm struggling with the why bit...
