Determining an Ig percentage from crude serum w/ELISAHey,
So I'm curious how to figure out the percentage of total protein in crude serum that is attributed to a specific Ig. All I know is that it has to do with an ELISA. Is BSA involved? Some sort of working reagent? Any clue here guys?
Re: Determining an Ig percentage from crude serum w/ELISAWe have two ELISAs for IgE. One is a Mouse total IgE and the other is OVA-specific IgE ELISA.
Principle of each assay The mouse IgE uses a mouse monoclonal antibody to IgE attached to the wells as a capture antibody and then HRP conjugated IgE in the presence of substrate is used as a detection antibody. The OVA-IgE uses a monoclonal antibody to mouse IgE heavy chain attached to the wells as a capture antibody and then biotinylated ovalbumin and streptavidin-peroxidase in the presence of substrate is used as a detection antibody. If you go to each on our website you can view the product insert and learn more about assembling an ELISA for your application. *I'm affiliated with MD Bioproducts Last edited by JackBean on Fri May 07, 2010 6:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.
