Hello I was consulting some information on kidney. What happens to blood as it travels through the kidneys?
The thing that does happen is: it is initially filtered from the glomerulus (capillary bed) to the glomerular capsule (part of the nephron tube system) The things I think that dont happen are : substances the body wants to keep (like salts & glucose) are reabsorbed into the blood from the proximal convoluted tubule substances the body wants to get rid of that weren't removed during filtration are secreted from the peritubular capillaries into the distal convulted tubule the blood delivers oxygen only to the kidneys, it is not cleansed of toxins and other metabolic wastes Am I right about this. I just want to confirm.
Re: Hello I was consulting some information on kidney.Does the blood go trough the liver first before going trough the kidneys or is it the other way around? I have liver problems and I'm currently taking a fatty liver diet. I scanning the internet for useful information.
