Lipid for research purpose

Postby rpriyamtech » Tue Apr 20, 2010 11:58 am

Dear all,
May be I am too creative with this question but this is what i would like to know about!
I am interested to do some experiments with lipids similar to lipid layer of the skin. I would like to treat it using a UV lamp, for e.g., and observe the penetration of topically applied ointments or creams. For this purpose, what are the artificially available lipid layers that I can use for this experiment. Or what would be the optimum form of lipid that can be helpful for such penetration studies.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
