desmosomes and cytoplasmic components!

Postby genaCoa » Thu Apr 15, 2010 10:18 pm

howdy
"how does the interaction of desmosomes with cytoplasmic components enable resistance to tension."

just concerning this question im a little confused. so intermediate filaments are what interact with desmosomes and anchor them in the cytoplasm, does this allow desmosomes to attach between cells preventing them from moving apart? (cell-cell adhesion)
