I have until tomorrow to do a virus project, and I'm doing it on Ebola. I just need the following information, and I don't think Wikipedia can be used...not sure though...

Anyways... I need:
size, shape, arrangement, and Gram stain (whatever that is)
How it attacks and spreads
Most common victims
Where it is most likely found
How dangerous
Number of victims
Most effective "weapons" (probably referring to vaccines)
Any other identifying characteristics.

Short answers should be fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Resources also help

Why cannot Wikipedia be used,? I took a quick glance at it and it seems to give a good answer to pretty much all of your questions.

But I can give you some brief information on the topic:

- Ebola is a filovirus, part of a viral family that causes hemorrhagic fevers. Thus it cannot be identified by Gram staining, which is primarily used for bacteria.
- According to the current knowledge, Ebola spreads via body fluids and secretions. Airbourne transmission has been suspected some times, but are unlikely.
- Most common victims are people around the areas where the (unknown) host of the virus is endemic ->
- It is found in the West/Central Africa, e.g. around the Ebola river and the Congo region. Also, some strains are from tropical regions in Asia if I recall correctly.
- The disease is extremely lethal.
- The number of victims is small due to the very high mortality rates of the virus: victims rarely live long enough to spread the disease to many people.
- There is no known cure or prophylactic treatment - no vaccine exist
- The disease has very typical symptoms, which help to identify it. The virus itself can be identified at least by EM and probably by PCR or by protein-specific means.

I wrote the above answers based on my own memory, so check that they are all true before writing your own, more detailed answers.
