Experiments using formalinModerator: BioTeam

Experiments using formalinHi, I was wondering if anyone here uses formalin in their experiments?
I use formalin to preserve samples (I collect zooplankton samples) and consequently, a lot of my equipment (e.g. forceps) is contaminated with formalin. Now I hear that formalin is very difficult to wash out, so I was wondering if acid washing them would do the trick, or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks a bunch
